74: Home or business, GET OUT!

A few hours later, Conor was startled as he walked up to his new apartment to see the workers moving things back into the truck. “What’s going on guys? Did the code not work?”

“No Mr. Brantley. Some woman is in there yelling about speaking to the owner and that we shouldn’t be moving furniture during business hours. Honestly, I think she is cracked, but she was threatening to call the cops if we didn’t leave.”

“There is a woman in my house, and she wants to call the police?”

“Yep. Crazy lady at that. she pushed her way past us as soon as we unlocked.”

“Then why didn’t you call the police?” Conor asked, bewildered as he pulled out his own phone. He began to dial the emergency number but called Parker instead, “I need you at my place asap. Someone is causing trouble.”

“I will be there in five.”
