Chapter 58

Delilah's POV:

Heavy silence thick with tension prevailed over the courtroom. Ethan's dad narrowed his eyes shining with evil, "We are all waiting for your answer, Delilah Dimitri." His voice sharpened, "Is it you with Dorian Smith or not?"

I looked from one council member to the next and it was pretty clear that they were all waiting like a vulture to eat me raw. There was only one answer to their question and I knew how they would twist it. Gripping the wooden railing of the stand, I bit out, "Yes, that's true but it's only one side of the story. We are only friends."

They all heaved a breath of relief and then one of them snickered, "Oh, call me old school if you want but I never get physical with my female friends."

I was stunned by his words and replied harshly, "Okay, but that's your choice and you'll never see me judge you for that like how you are judging me." I ground my teeth as I hissed, "That's just pathetic."
