VICTORIA

"Ah!" I screamed, as soon as I felt something cold on my face and all over my body. I looked up, still feeling very drowsy, and saw four men looking at me with angry faces. They had poured a bucket of water on me in a bid to wake me up. They succeeded. I was awake.

I sat up in my cage and wondered what they wanted to do with me. I took some time to take a good look at where I was imprisoned as I convinced myself that I was going to be there for a long time. I did not need to entertain any optimism, especially since this was just the story of my whole life.

They did not even know that I didn't have a wolf. Perhaps, they wouldn't have wasted their time locking me up. Perhaps, the guards might have tried to take advantage of me and do away with me afterwards. I didn't know these people, yet, I already had a lot of conclusions in my mind based on the hostility of their reception.
