Selene's POV.

The bomb went off just as I made to head towards him.

The loud bang burst my eardrums and the force flew me backwards that I landed on my butt on the hard ground.

There was so much pain around my back and shoulders and for seconds, I couldn't move nor hear a thing.

My body felt like it had been taken through a shredder and cut into various pieces as I finally opened my eyes.

Above me was smoke, the air was filled with dust and smoke from the bomb blasts.

The wagon was burning from beside me, caught in roaring flames as it consumed every part of the vehicle.

Bodies of my father's men littered around the floor, dead with their eyes wide opened that stared into nothing.

I blinked rapidly, the only part of my body that I could move right now was
