Chapter Sixteen    ~Reject Jasper!~

I fell on my bed, my back dipping in and feeling its softness. I spread my arms and wiggled my legs. My joy could light the whole of San Francisco.

"What's all the noise about? What's making you so happy?" Lionel peeks into my room.

I had left the door open. "Shouldn't I be happy?" I rose to close it.

He must have been surprised that I was back home already.

I could sleep all I wanted. I didn't imagine that it was going to turn out this beneficial for me after agreeing with Jasper.

Although our mate bond wasn't real. I wished it was.

I have never had anyone stand up for me in my entire life. Except for Leo, who most times wasn't around because he was from a different pack. After what happened today at Lara's house, I wished I had a real mate who could protect me and love me unconditionally.

Seeing Jasper swing in action to fetch me from that house had to be the hottest thing I had seen in my life. Not forgetting he drove me home too. I shrieked in my pillow.
