Chapter Sixty-four ~Troubled Thoughts~

I stuck with Jasper every step of the way. The hunting went well. No threats were seen or any unfamiliar scents detected. And after several hours of rounding the woods, the hunting came to an end. It wasn't as exhausting as I had thought.

Jasper shifted back to human form and immediately a girl walked up to us. She wants to talk to him. She was so confident in her nakedness that it made me question my own confidence.

I hadn't shifted into my human form yet, so I pondered over waiting for him or going towards the tree where our clothes lay. I could dress up before he came.

"Remember me?" she asked.

"And you are?" Jasper said, rubbing his chin.

"Lily. We hooked up two months ago."

Wow. What a bold way to reintroduce oneself. Huh! They hooked up two months ago—

Jasper shook his head. "I still can't remember you."

"How could you forget so soon?" she blurted. "You told me the sex was good and asked for my name and number, that you were going to call me. But you never called."
