He looked at her and felt bad.

She had been rendered an orphan since she was four?

Just taking a look at herself and how shabby she seemed, he wondered how she survived.

“I ate food from the kitchen.” She said.

“You stole.” He asked.

She shook her head. “No I didn’t steal. I’ve never stolen in my life before. I used to eat burnt food and left overs taht were meant for the dogs.”

He was taken aback. For the dogs!?

Even in his pack slaves weren’t treated this cruelly.

“What do you eat now?” He asked.

“I eat the same food.”

How could they treat her like this?!

Regards less of what her family had done was one reason why she would be treated like a beggar.
