Scarlett's POV.

My whole body shivered in fear when I saw Alpha Carlos, stepping closer to me with anger written all over his face.

"Uhm, your Highness, that's not true. She was the one that atta...." I was cut off by Alpha Carlos who slapped me viciously across my face. I still hadn't recovered from the shock when he landed another one on my face, making me feel dizzy and ringing in my ears and blood dripping out of my lips.

Felix gasped in shock as he ran to hold me when he saw me staggered backward, holding my cheeks that were burning with pain.

I looked at him with tears glittering in my eyes, " You... You didn't even wait to hear my side of the story and you slapped me?" I asked, choking on my words with tears of pain falling down my cheeks.

He narrowed his eyes and stared at me murderously and I shivered at his cold glare.

"Why should I listen to your side of the story when I already know the truth?" he replied, staring at me with disgust.

"Your Highness, Princess Jane was the
