13 - Miscarriage

[Estella's POV has finished]

"Miss Estella, it is morning. I have been instructed by the princes to make sure you are ready for breakfast." A familiar voice greeted my ears while my consciousness was still in the dream world. It was not Miranda, but a maidservant whose face I had never seen.

"Ah. My name is Monica, I am the new maid sent to serve you, Miss," said the maid who seemed to understand my confusion.

"Oh, I see." I did as she said and quickly got ready to take a shower.

The maid wasn't like Miranda who always made sure my dress and jewelry were ready; she just put everything on the bed and walked away. I didn't bother because my body was too tired at that time. I made sure I took a quick shower and got dressed as quickly as I could; the sun was already rising when I opened my eyes.

Even in this room, I could hear the footsteps of the other omega concubines coming into the dining hall. It makes me feel even more compelled to hurry out of the room.
