Chapter 74: FAMILY

I wake up to a white light shining in my eye and have a hard time focusing. When my eyes finally focus, I can see that the white light is one of the overseas lamps in the temporary hospital wing in the warehouse. I try to get up only you realize that I'm strapped down to the bed again, for the second time in less than twenty four hours.

"Look who's awake." I hear Elijah's voice from beside me and then turn to look at him.

"Welcome back roomie." He tells me with a smirk on his face.

"I take it by that shit eating grin on your face that this was your doing?" I asked him.

"Oh, I had nothing to do with this, as per doctor's orders I'm on bed rest." He tells me still with that smile on his face.
