Chapter 42 THE UNSCENTED

As Beatrice went through the royal corridors, her mind was flooded with thoughts about the events that were taking happened all around her. She was lost in mindfulness when she heard familiar voices ahead. Looking around the corner, she noticed two people approaching, their faces twisted into mocking grins.

"Oh, here's the unscented wolf," The two chuckled. "She's back again and thought she'll seduce the Alpha again but she can't already..." They laughed again.

She braced herself, creased her forehead with so much irritation. She stared at them coldly.

"You didn't change after all," she spat. "You're still a gossiper, huh!" she bravely uttered.

One of them raised a brow. "Woah! Brave now are you?"

The other one pushed her in the chest. Little they didn't know, Alpha Lucas is hiding not far from them but he won't interrupt them. He wants to see how brave Beatrice is even without his help.

Beatrice was pushed and she was stepping backward.

"Now, you are brave? Let see how brave you are!
