“Hi Lumi. Good to see you again.” Gabriella got up from her executive chair with open arms to welcome Lumi.

Lumi responded warmly. “I’ve missed you, Gabriella.”

“I’ve missed you too.”

“Is that so, Gabby? How come you never came to see me in prison?”

By now they had disengaged from the hug.

“Have a seat, Lumi,” Gabriella offered. “I’m sorry I never came to see you. Work has been keeping me busy so much that I hardly have time for myself. I was planning to come see you this week. Didn’t know you had been released.”

Lumi nodded in understanding.

“Guessed as much. It’s fine. I understand.”

“Hope you are not angry with me anymore.” Gabriella put on a cute face.

“Not at all. You are my best friend. But why did you keep Didi a secret from me though?”

“I’m sorry Lumi. Honestly, I owe you a lot of apologies. I’m sorry about everything you went through. I know you must have suffered in prison.” Gabriella sympathised.

Lumi held out her left hand and Gabriella received it.

“I’m grateful to Peter.
