LottaPI think I'm starting to come out of my grief and starting to feel like myself again. There are 4 chapters left in the book (Unless Tamaska decides you all need more.) The In Between with Jarvis is next- Then we get back to the War.

Rejected Protector Date Night Part 1
It’s been a couple of weeks since Seleste and I first sparred against each other. Now all the warriors stop to see us spar together. I have been planning a special night for Seleste and me with my mom. I want to make this a night she will remember for the rest of our lives. I asked my mom to set up a dinner, movie, and romantic night in my special area at the edge of our territory. There is this valley in the middle of the forest with a stream running through it. There are dense woods all around the area, but right in the middle is the perfect place to view the moon at night. The stream running through the area is crystal clear and cleaning than any other water source in the country. There is a legend that says the goddess protects the stream. It is said that the water has healing properties. To our pack, this area is sacred. It is the perfect place for Seleste and me to rebuild our bond and restart our matehood officially. Seleste and I spend a little more time with our team, then we head out to the front of the packhouse. I have the horse and carriage waiting for us as we exit the house. Just seeing the happy and excited expression on Seleste’s face lets me know that this was a good call. This is the perfect time for a horse and carriage ride. Like all good things, our nice mini vacation came to an unexpected end. I received a mind link from my beta, letting me know they needed us back. After spending a restful night in Jarvis’ arms. I get up and spend a couple of hours in meditation. I didn’t wake Jarvis up to meditate with me this time. After Meditating. I met my parents and Jarvis back in our family wing of the palace. It is almost going time. Jarvis and my dad were discussing the warriors and their plan of attack. The war is over. The dark lord has been defeated, but my warriors had to continue fighting mini battles from pockets of rebels who still insisted on fighting the rule of the king. They were no match for our warriors. The king and all of us were tired of needless bloodshed. We remained at the makeshift war tent for a couple of days, coordinating with all the other regions and bringing order. After the third day, we start teleporting warriors back to their region or home group.Queen LaDonna went back to her coven to get all the magics back on track and deal with the remaining dark witches. It’s been two years since the supernatural world had what amounted to a civil war orchestrated by pure evil. A lot of good came out of the war. The shifter community is more united and stronger than ever. The groups are no longer separated, well, not completely. Everyone still has their own set of rules and cultures, but we all serve under one king. We all come together yearly for leaders/alphas meeting at the palace. This gives us leaders a chance to network and build or strengthen alliances. It also gives us female warriors a chance to dress and get dolled up. Every year, Rose, Mona, Talia, Lacey, Francis, Violetta and I meet up the week before the conference to go shopping. Not that we need much of an excuse to meet up.
