"Maleeka! You shouldn’t be stressing out so much," Atticus spoke when she came into view. "It's fine; I am happy that we are bringing him home. Once he is home, everything will be fine again," she excitedly cheered while a tear ran down her eye. I felt bad for her.

"Yeah! I hope he keeps you happy after that," Atticus muttered under his breath. "So, where is he? Where are we going?" I interrupted because his location had been kept hidden from us so far.

"We are not going anywhere. He said he would come home in a few minutes, and then we can discuss matters," she stated without looking my way, but at least she answered me, unlike all the other times when she would ignore me.

Atticus and I shared a glance because we knew that man was too desperate to come back home, or maybe he didn’t want us to know about his hiding place.
