He rushed through the crowd to reach school on time. Punctuality was becoming nearly impossible, almost every day now.

As a Beta, soon to be Royal, the pack had high expectations for him. Zeon Holt, an orphan, didn’t stand a chance of becoming the Royal Beta until he learned to fight and had already defeated the other betas. At this moment, he considered himself more deserving, but nobody knew what would happen when little Atticus became the Alpha King and selected somebody else.

That didn’t bother Zeon at all. He was only 16, and there were barely a few things on his mind except completing his education with a good score. He reached the school and stopped near the main gate to catch his breath when he heard a voice from beside him that stole his attention.

Somebody was sniffling away their tears very softly, as if they were trying to be sneaky. Zeon straightened his back and turned to the side to see a girl squatting down and collecting her books from the gro
