Time seemed to stand still when Amanda and Damien turned slowly to look at me. I had tried to hide behind the rock, but it was too late.
Damien grinned evilly when he realized it was me. Amanda looked similarly pleased to see me as well, but her eyes burned with fury as well.

Amanda laughed, her voice amazed. “Well, look who it is.”
