Gonzalo's POV

I turned to the leader of the guards from Alpha Michael's pack and gave him my instructions. It was a crucial conversation, and I needed to ensure that we were on the same page.

"The safety of Moonshade depends on you," I told him with a sense of urgency. "I'm going to look for ways to gather enough information on what's going on and if necessary, I might return occasionally to check on things. We need to be vigilant and prepared."

The pack leader nodded in understanding. "I'll do everything in my power to protect Moonshade and ensure the safety of your pack. But, given the nature of the competition, it might not always be possible for you to return."

I appreciated his commitment and knew that he would do his best. "Thank you. Your help means a lot to us."

With that, I made my way towards Lucas, who had been waiting patiently. Together, we walked through the woods, heading toward
