Gonzalo's POV.

The moonlight bathed the clearing, painting everything in a silver hue. Teresa and I sat outside, the cool night air soothing after the events of the day. The weight of my decisions lingered, the responsibility of leading our pack pressing on my shoulders.

"Are you still mad at me?" I asked, breaking the silence that had settled between us.

Teresa remained quiet for a moment, her gaze distant. It was clear she was wrestling with her emotions, trying to find the right words. "I'm not mad, Gonzalo," she finally replied. "I'm just worried about how things will turn out."

I let out a sigh, the weight of her worry echoing my own uncertainties. "There wasn't much I could do. I did what I had to for the pack."

She nodded, acknowledging the truth in my words. "I understand, but it's a difficult situation."
