CHAPTER 76: Mystic Veil

Callista’s POV~~

“Are you guys ready? We need to go now; we are out of food.” Shaman Magnus called the attention of both Lily and me, waiting for us to join him outside the hut as he was set to go hunting.

“We will be out soon!” Lily shouted from the other room as we were getting ready for the hunt.

A minute later, Lily and I came out of the hut to meet Shaman Magnus outside, where he was waiting for us.

“Let’s go that direction today,” he pointed to the direction where I took to the hut that night I escaped from the Midnight Mirage pack.

“But shaman,” I paused and looked up at him. “That means we will be going near the midnight Mirage pack,” I said, sounding a bit unhappy.

I heard Lily chuckle at my display of worries. “We won’t be going near our pack,” Lily responded instead of Shaman Magnus that I had faced.

“Plus, it would take longer hours to get to your former pack, so we won’t reach it at all,” Shaman Magnus added, which made me feel a bit less nervous than usual.
