Chapter 88: Arriving home

Fear invades me and the wolves look at me worried when they see how the machines start to sound. Again, I remind myself that my babies are my priority and therefore, I focus on calming down even though it costs me a lot.

“Rain, it's not going to catch up with us. Calm down a little, please.” Mikhail says over the plane's communicator.

I close my eyes taking a deep breath, while I caress my belly so that the movement of my babies is what calms me down. But, the smell of Lake prevents me from calming down even though the plane is moving fast.

‘It's not going to catch up with us. We're about to take off.’  I tell myself mentally, opening my eyes.

Curiosity runs through me and that's why I look for Lake on the tarmac and I don't rest until I see him approaching the plane. I deny smiling knowing that it is not possible for him to reach us, but, the werewolf does not give up.

The plane rises a little, so, I celebrate mentally
