“Yes, of course.” Ciara nodded confidently. “This isn’t my home… and even though they are my birth parents… I don’t feel the kinship that I did at Silvercrest.”

Scott smiled at her words. “You won’t regret your decision?”

“Absolutely not.” She pressed her hand to his cheek. “My home is where you are, Scott.”

After the conversation, they returned to the welcoming party and Scott kept a close eye on Ciara, so she didn’t drink anything but water.

The night came unnoticed; the party continued and now it has moved to a square in the middle of the village. More and more people came. It was as if during the night the population of the Moon Warriors multiplied.

Dendra insisted on forcing Ciara to wear one of the village’s signature clothes, a straight-cut dress made of silk decorated with beads and colorful stones on the neck and cuffs.

The two of them were in Dendra’s room, preparing Ciara’s appearance to be exhibited in front of the residents. Dendra put on make-up on her face and styled
