Chapter 42

Astra's POV

I saw Noah's eyes darken as I said those last words. I knew that look in his eyes a little too well; I'd seen him use it several times when he was mad. It was the look he reserved for enemies.

He never used that look on me, and seeing it now sent shivers of apprehension down my spine.

However, I stood my ground. Noah had never been able to intimidate me, and he definitely would not start now.

"You heard me," I said, eyebrows raised. "Get the hell out of here, Noah. You have done enough damage by bursting into my wedding and ruining it. The least you could do is pick up the rest of your dignity and leave this place. Leave, Noah. Go!"

The dark look in his eyes persisted as he stepped closer to me. A hint of blood and sweat from his body hit my nose, and I curled my lips in distaste. I couldn't believe that this same man whom I'd cherished and loved could become so disgusting to me.

Slowly he pulled out his sword, then stretched it before me hilt first. He went to his knees
