100. Fake attack

[Amor’s POV]

The greetings of marriage started showering on us from all directions.

I had to get Zeve out of there, but I couldn’t find a way with all the family members trying to see Zeve.

I knew they were curious. Some with good intentions and almost all of them with evil gaze. Whatever it was, Zeve needed rest.

I mind-linked Morfan, Lucella and my mother.

“Please help me get Zeve out of here. She is tired. It seems she might actually pass out at any moment now. Do something!”

The three of them looked at Zeve together with a worried expression over their faces.

Mother and Lucella looked at one another while Morfan—

“What! An emergency! What happened? Is everything ok?” Morfan yelled at a soldier, standing next to him.

The soldier looked completely clueless why the beta was suddenly yelling at him.

“An attack! From where?” Morfan asked the soldier while the soldier looked as if his soul had left his body.

“A-attack? Beta?” He froze, peering at Morfan with his widened eyes.
