86. Wanderlust

[Zeve’s POV]

The picturesque snowy terrains were like a white paradise. They had the flowy wisps of snow scattering in the air like fog even at the slightest winds.

The snow had blanketed the grounds in shades of grey and black, like cotton.

Sometimes my eyes were on the highest peak, faintly visible on the horizon and sometimes around me, on the fir forests where the viridian leaves looked as if they were painted with pure white paint.

I was so busy looking around everywhere else that I missed my footings several times, either tripping on rocks beneath the ankle-deep snow or sliding on grounds covered with ice.

Amor wrapped intertwined his fingers with mine and a wave of warmth ran through my body. I was once again looking around restlessly, but this time to distract myself from what his fingers locked with mine did to my heart and soul.

He didn’t ask me to stop looking around, nor did he scold me when I almost fell face-down. He just held my hand tightly as we walked and saved
