“Where are you Kim?” I asked Kimberly on the phone. It’s been two days now and I’ve not seen any sign of her or even…Jake.

“I’m busy with something, I’ll come visit when I have the opportunity” she lied. I knew she did.

“I know you’re feeling guilty, no need to lie to me. You know what? Just come over so we could talk. I’m bored shitless and you not being here is making things worse for me” I tried convincing to see if she could come around.

“What about Jake?” She asked and I went placid over the line. Sensing my uneasiness, she quickly said “give me ten minutes, I’m close by” and she quickly ended the call.
