Chapter 14

Finally, it is time for us to go back to that eyesore house.

Happiness was written over my mother’s face. She had this impression that she couldn’t wait to see her annoying husband. I was so sad looking at her. She didn’t understand how I felt. I felt like staying here and not going back to that awful house.

Since she has been in the hospital, my father has never come to pay a visit or ask after her. It's obvious enough that he doesn’t want us around anymore; can’t she sense it?

"Jas hoped you parked everything inside the bag," she asked excitedly; she must have been jumping up and down within as my gaze fell on Clara, who was walking towards us.

I’m going to miss her; she makes me happy.

I rushed towards her and hugged her as tears welled in my eyes. "I will miss you, dear," I said to her, with tears shrieking in my eyes.
