As my friends Calvin, Chase, Keith, and I jogged through the school quadrangle on our way to football practice, we were drenched in sweat and gasping for breath. The scorching sun beat down on us, adding to the discomfort of our late arrival at the bench where Coach awaited, his stern expression signaling trouble.

Coach's frustration was evident as he scolded, "Noah, you're the captain, but it seems like responsibility is a foreign concept to you!" His words stung, leaving us scratching our heads in embarrassment, surrounded by curious onlookers.
