TWENTY EIGHT

                                She had lost track of time as pondering over her marriage. The pain was getting worse every day. She was planning to go with him. No excuse could persuade him to agree. 

      She paced toward the dress lying on the mattress. Her gaze went to the clock. He must come home soon. Her heart pounded, imagining Bianca and her cruel father sitting around her husband. Her eyes began to sting but she was certain not to cry. 

      She took a deep breath and grabbed the dress. ' I won't allow them to degrade me. She should be the one. She's marrying my husband. I'm not ruining someone else's marriage. I don't allow him to touch me. Is it the reason he easily agreed to marry her? Of course, what could be else? Go to hell. I don't care. But why does mere thought hurt so much? '
