Chapter Forty-Nine

*Tristian’s POV*

Before Haven I didn’t consider myself one of those alpha male type of guys. I never felt the need to assert dominance over another guy to protect what felt like mine. 

I now felt like I had to do that with Logan. 

I was having dinner at the Campbell’s, and who should be there but Logan. He looked ridiculous in an apron leisurely dancing around the kitchen as he and Haven cooked. 

She was in a matching apron, so she probably didn’t think it looked ridiculous, which of course bothered me. 

I watched them work together in the kitchen. I hated how much of a couple they looked like. He reached around her to grab some spices. He whispered something in her ear. 

She giggled and responded with something that made him laugh in return. I hated this.

“Aren’t they cute?” Grace chuckled next to me. “They’re so in sync.”
