Chapter 48: Reunion
Mr. Anderson wanted to take Elizabeth to school but I insisted on doing that. Actually, I had the intention of going around after dropping her at school so I could check on my friends and other fellas. I hoped to also meet Mr. Leon along the way.
I watched as Elizabeth hugged our mom, and then Mr. Anderson before biding them goodbye. She was agile, she couldn't even wait for any of them to peck her properly. By the way, it wasn't as if she was late. It was an hour to her lecture, which means there was still time.
"Please drive carefully, Nichol" mom had told me.
"Sure mom, I will" I had nodded in acknowledgement and then left.
Just as Elizabeth and I were finally in the car, I ignited the engine into action and off we went... to her school. It wasn't that far from our neighborhood.
As soon as I dropped her off, she bade me goodbye and ran into the school while I watched her with a smile plastered on my face.
