CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

As soon as Salvetti entered the home, Wickus led him to the game room. Without stopping to inquire as to why he was loitering in the foyer rather than pursuing Salviana, Salvetti instead made his way to the game room.

As they scowled.

Lanaya was leaning over the table, her upper body almost touching the surface. She had an almost-correct grip on the pool cue. Oh, sh*t, Salvetti was rockin' a semi. He intended to take her in front of everyone in the room after killing them all.

When Lanaya dropped the cue, the white ball flew into the air, ricocheted off the table a few times, and rolled beneath a sofa.

The hair on his head bristled.

That's very bad.

We're glad to hear that "you're better." After receiving a commendation, Salvetti began to wonder whether one of the guards had gone completely crazy. "This time, you refrained from shattering a glass panel. See? Progress."
