Charlotte's pov

When I saw Ava taking her first step towards my bathroom door, I was at a loss for words. My heart raced as if I were standing on the edge of a very high cliff. I panicked, but halfway to the bathroom, my brain came up with something to prevent her from going inside.

I hurriedly positioned myself in front of her with a smile on my face and said,

"Please, please, my bathroom is a complete mess, and I don't want you to see how untidy it is. I'm really sorry, and I'm even ashamed of myself."

Ava looked at me and let out a sigh, not attempting to push past me.

"But I need to..." she started to say.

"Then let's go to your room," I interrupted with a smile, and it worked as expected. What would I have told Ava if she saw her dad with a wet body in my bathroom? It simply indicated that we had just made love together.
