Susan was quite easy to manipulate. Just a few stories here and there and shedding a few tears were enough to get her to forgive me.

Since she caught me talking to Julius about getting rid of Patrick, I had learnt to be extra careful around her. I loved her so much and wouldn't want silly mistakes like these to cause a rift between us.

My sad story made her turn a new leaf. She now acted as the sweet Susan I had married and I was glad for this change.

I got to the office earlier than expected because I had truly cleared my morning schedule to accompany Susan to the Parent- Teacher meeting to prove to her that I was a supportive husband.
