I was confused as to what to do next. Oliver's smile was unnerving to say the least and I felt like walking out the door, bolting down the stairs and not coming back at all. But that wasn't part of the options now. I was here and there was no going back. Slowly putting one foot in front of the other I made my way into the room. It was eerily quiet, each step seemed to make the room tremble. Either I was overly anxious and hallucinating or Oliver's sick gaze was making me lose my balance. I sat at the far edge of the bed, a fair distance from the ailing king. He chuckled, obviously satisfied at my irritation.

"Now." He clasped his hands together like some medieval spooky storyteller. "Let's get to it, shall we?"

"Oliver!" I perked up at the sound of my name. I already knew where the voice came from, so determining my next step wasn't such a hassle. I had to be on my feet before he got here. " Where are you, you stupid brat!?"

"I'm in here father." I'd barely croaked out before the door
