NOAH'S POV

"Noah" I'd heard my name a million times but I meant every word when I said no one could compare when it came to the sound of my name on Bailey's lips. It was weird because I'd heard speak lots of times. When I didn't even want to hear her, she was always yelling something to my ears. I'd expected something else, a shriek or any loud means to express her discomfort but instead she kept mute, her eyes flicking from my face to my lips that were only a few inches from hers. Her lips were so close, so close that if I could just part my lips a little, the rest would be history. I hoped. We stayed like this for a while, neither of us moving. I felt something stir in me and I bit back on my lips, fighting the urge to act on this burning desire that seemed to come out of nowhere.

"Sire." It was my wolf. He didn't need to talk much, I knew what he wanted. I could feel it burning deep in my bones. At least, that was the plausible explanation I could give to all of this. "Your high
