Adrian wanted to know what happened. Jennifer wasn't answering his calls, and he was getting worried now. The conversation from the night before kept going through his head like a broken record.

He knew that telling Jennifer to tell Pierre that she loved him was a risk. But he hoped, for both their sakes, that Pierre was over what happened nearly ten years ago.

So Adrian almost ran to her apartment, sighing in relief when he saw his bodyguards still there. He was still getting used to Jennifer being a celebrity. But Jennifer was his best friend, who loved people easily. She would go anywhere for the people she loved. She deserved to have all the love in the world in return.
