CHAPTER FORTY-SEVEN
They didn’t need Leila to tell them to follow her before they did. They followed her outside and were stroke with a terrible cold.
This reminded Angela of yesterday. They could have died and it was her fault. She swept the thought off of her mind. This was the time to get to a new world, not let the past haunt her.
It was time for a new revelation.
“We have been waiting for this day for a very long time, now it has come. We have trained…”
“We?” Kale said huffing.
“…as I was saying.” Leila gave her a quick glare. “We have trained hard for today and now it is time to reap the fruit of our labor.”
“Our?”
Kale needed to stop doing that. Leila ignored her and moved on.
“Are you all ready?” Leila’s voice was low and smooth.
Her short speech was satisfying. Not too long and not too short.
