“No!”

“Please!”

“Stop!”

“I am sorry!”

“This is painful!”

Anna heard voices climbing the stairs. She halted and frowned her forehead, trying to pay attention to the noise.

“Who is that?” She wondered and listened to the noises attentively.

“Forgive me, please. This is so painful.”

She continued to hear the noise till the voice sounded familiar, and figuring who it was, her eyes widened in shock.

“Is that-” she let out, but couldn't complete her statement before she picked up her speed and ascended the stairs faster.

She opened the door abruptly and barged into the room to see Cohen rapidly shaking his head with tears streaming out of his closed eyes.

She stood at a spot for a minute, eyeing her from a little this. “Wh… what’s going on?” She raised a question in a low voice. Her voice shaking in fear mixed with confusion.

“Please, save me. You're my only savior. I need your help. Please don't leave me. Don't hate me.” Cohen spoke again, but in a lower voice.
