Chapter 101: The Riot

ELVA'S POV

I woke up to the noise of people at the castle gate. Rushing out of my room, I headed downstairs to know what was going on.

When I got to the gate, Lu was already there with some warriors. Sticks and stones were flying in from outside the gate.

"What's happening?" I asked Lu.

"It's a riot," he said to me, "go back in. I'll deal with it."

"A riot? For what?" I asked him.

"Just go back in!" He shouted before a rock the size of his fist, landed on his head.

"Ouch!" He whimpered, "Have you seen why I was telling you to go inside?"

"I'm a warrior, Lucius," I said to him, "what are you protecting me for?"

With that, I went closer to the gate and asked the warriors to let me through so I could talk to the rioting crowd.

"It's dangerous out there," one of the guards said to me, "I'd advise you to stay back in."
