"He should have died there that night," Darian said with anger.

" I am sorry, what!" I looked surprised at what he said.

He said that looking so angry, I just kept staring at him like an idiot.

" Now you know why I didn't let you mark me, well you can't mark me until the mate bond is broken," I said feeling hopeless and looking sad.

" Your mother seems concerned about you," he said all of a sudden.

" My mother?" I said looking confused.

" Yes, she had called me earlier to the throne room to talk about us not getting married, and letting our younger ones marry before us".

" Really?"I said looking surprised.

" Yes, she said that she wanted the family to continue its culture of the elder ones getting married before their young ones," he said

We both went silent for a while until he said, "Why didn't your mate bond break?"

" I don't know," I said feeling frustrated.
