Chapter 139: The Right Words

ELVA'S POV

" Don't drag me into this" Melinda said and moved her chair to the back a little.

I wanted to say something to her but I couldn't find the right words to actually say it, so I just stared at her with wide eyes.

" Stop staring at me like that, your eyes might pop out," Melinda said and stood up from her chair

Again I was speechless and just kept blinking at Melinda like I had a stubborn eyelash in my eyes that won't come out.

" Why do you keep blinking like that? Is there something in your eye?" Mother asked

" No Mother, there is nothing in my eyes, thank you," I said with a dry smile on my face.

" Okay," Mother said.

" So Mom, what are we to do now?" I asked Mom with a fake smile on my face.

" Hum, let me think," Mom said looking up. " Okay we have planned the tea party and it's getting late," Mom said still looking up.
