Chapter 58: As Real As The Sky

ELVA'S POV

Darian was surprised when we got to the hill and I told him that I could keep going.

"At this rate will you have any strength reserved for what you want us to do?" He asked me.

"I have loads of strength shared out for different purposes," I said in between pants, "when I'm getting with you, the strength for that will come out."

We continued running until we had gone twice the distance from the pack to the hill. Now, my plan could work.

"Hold up!" I called on him from behind. He was leading the race.

"Tired now?" He asked, catching his own breath.

"Of course, I am," I said, coming to a stop. I bent down, my chest heaving up and down.

Now, we were far from the reach of Japhet's ability, and far from the sensory range of any normal werewolf. Now, I was sure that I was speaking to Darian in his normal sense.

"Darian," I called him.

"Elva," he answered, looking at me with subtle confusion.

"You know why we are here, right?" I asked him.

"Yeah. To rest from the race," he answered
