Chapter 15. Take Me to the River

"Do I no longer have a son?!" the voice on the other end of the phone reproaches Ragnar immediately. "You spent two months out of the country and don't even feel like seeing your family? Why didn't you come home, Ragnar? Octavio told me that you arrived and went straight to your apartment."

"Hello, mother," Ragnar responds. "Yes, I came to change. I have a meeting in exactly thirty minutes, I didn't have time to go to the mansion and come back."

"You just arrived, Ragnar. Can't you stop working for at least a few hours to be with us? We are your family."
