Kevin's POV….

The amount of anger, hate, and resentment surging through my entire soul increased tremendously once my eyes landed on Ariel's bleeding cheek. The ball of blood rolled down her cheeks, eventually reaching her chin.

I gritted.

How dare they? These lowly bastards had the fucking guts to lay hands on my mate? How gusty they are? — may the moon goddess forgive them in hell, but I fucking won't. Ariel seemed perplexed, then again her eyes doubled in size, probably after she figured out my identity.

“Kevin!” she gasped loudly while dragging her feet backwards. She eventually fell hard on the dried grass, but that didn't interrupt her state of flabbergast. It's understandable why she's so dumbfounded, since it's the first time I'm revealing my wolf form.
