I held myself from sobbing at the only relative I’ve had since my parents died, the moment I heard the soft roar of his car fade away in the distance, I shook my head and turned on the shower.

I stood stiffly while the patter of water dropped on my body, I don’t know why I’m so sad about Gabriel leaving, it’s not as if we might not see again, we will still have different occasions to see each other.

“Phoebe, are you okay?” June voiced out her concern and I could hear her light footsteps going back and forth in the room.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I’ll be out in a minute.” I answered her and wrapped a smaller towel around my thick untamed hair. I wrap the white towel around myself and walked outside making sure not to slip and fall, although the chance of doing that is close to zero since I’m not June.

“Your eyes look so puffy and red, I know you’ve gotten very attached to my uncle, but I totally think you’re overreacting, it’s not as if he’s dead or moving to another continent en
