From Anguish To Dilemma

WHITNEY'S POV

I was lying on the floor of my bathroom wailing when Janet rushed inside. She crouched beside me and put her hand around my shoulder. She lifted me slightly from the floor and gazed at my face with concern.

"Whitney, what is the matter? Why are you crying? Please, talk to me!" she said with alarm in her voice.

"Janet, I am pregnant," I replied as I let out a wail.

"Did the test show two colored lines?"

"Yes, it did."

"Where is it?" she asked with concern in her voice.

"It is on top of the stool," I replied pointing in the direction of the stool.

She rose and walked briskly to the stool. She picked up the test strip and looked at it and her face was instantly filled with sadness.

She stared at the test strip for some seconds before she dropped it back on the stool and walked back to me. She knelt beside me and wiped my tears.

"Whitney, stop crying like a bereaved child. It is not the end of the world."
