Mother And Son At Loggerheads

WHITNEY'S POV

I was bewildered as my eyes swept from Henry to his mother. The fact that I was the one who caused the rift between mother and son made me feel guilt-ridden. I have to do something. I just can't stand here and be looking at them.

But what can I do to quell the situation? Before I say anything, I have to move from the reach of Luna Viola. I thought as I quickly took some steps back and I was about three feet away from her.

"Henry, please, let go of your mother's hand," I pleaded as I gazed at him.

He turned his head to look at me and we made eye contact as I pleaded with my eyes.

Instantly, he let go of his mother's hand and took a few steps away from her.

"Mom, I implore you, don't lay your hands on Whitney again. She has done nothing wrong to you. I am the one to be blamed for everything cos I was the one that held her hand. Even when she pleaded with me to let go of her hand, I refused. So, you can put all the blame on me."
