Chapter 30 A Hundred Million for A Life

"Did you hire a different chef?" Christopher asked.

Hearing this, the butler froze. His face was a conflicted expression.

In the past three years, Melody was the one who had cooked for Christopher. The chefs never really had the chance to prepare anything. The butler thought Christopher wouldn't notice the difference, only to be proven wrong at the very first bite.

He sighed softly. "No, this is made by our chef. Back then, all the meals were prepared by the young miss. It's normal for the taste to be different."

He really hadn't seen any other woman as considerate as Melody.

Melody always knew that Christopher resented her, so she would often choose to let him dine by himself, let alone take credit for what she did for him. All she wanted was for him to come home to a warm meal.

She would always take an entire afternoon just cooking for him. Besides that, she even made sure to keep every meal as nutritious as possible, knowing that he had a weak stomach.
