Chapter 51 - Mother

Everly POV

“How did you know my mother?”, I ask he looks at the door, and I see a woman walking in. She has a small frame, short blonde hair and blue eyes. She looks like an older version of me.

“I heard you were looking for me?”, she says, and I blink a couple of times, trying to process what is happening. I’ve seen her in pictures. I knew she was alive, I felt it, but what is going on here? Why is she here? Why am I here? Why is she involved in this war?

“How?”, I asked, still trying to formulate words. She walks towards the opposite side of where I am sitting, and she opens some curtains and then some blinds, and the sun enters the room, forcing me to close my eyes. I was used to the darkness, and the bright light makes my head hurt.
