That strategy seems to have backfired, as I have now lost her, and she is now in much more danger since she is with my beta Max, whom the vampires and hunters also want to harm.

When I only thought of Max and Amelia kissing, I felt deceived, and my heart was aching every second.

I promised myself that I would never do something like that to Amelia again because the agony was tremendous, more worse than my mother's death. If that's all it took, I'd stay unmarried indefinitely unless Amelia still wanted me.
